FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What makes you different than traditional physical therapy?

    • Every session is completely one-on-one with Dr. Chelsea for one hour in your home.
    • Treatments are uniquely catered to your needs and specific to your goals, always.
    • Because of the high attention given every session, we can be more efficient with your care, compared to going in to therapy 2-3x/week in a traditional physical therapy clinic.
  • Do you accept my insurance?

    • Dr. Chelsea is an out-of-network provider using a fee-for-service model of care. Payments are made in full at time of session via cash, check, credit or debit card. Clients can also use HSA or FSA cards to pay for services.
    • Upon request, clients will be given a Superbill that they can then submit to their insurance companies for reimbursement, pending their out-of-network benefits.
    • This cash-based model means: NEVER any surprise bills - cost of treatment is known at the initial session, NEVER having insurance companies dictate the type or how much care a person is given, ALWAYS the highest quality most efficient care given.
  • Do I need a physician referral?

    • Dr. Chelsea has a Direct Access license in Pennsylvania so you can be seen without a physician prescription or referral for 30 days.
    • After 30 days a prescription will need to be attained in which Dr. Chelsea can assist you when communicating with your other providers.
  • What is your travel radius?

    • I will travel 40 minutes from Quinn's Market, 10 Kennedy Dr. Archbald, PA 18403.
    • Please map from Quinn's Market to your location to see the distance prior to booking an appointment.
    • If you have specific questions about me traveling to your location, please reach out to me on the website contact form or via phone call or text.
  • What should I expect on my first visit?

    • I own a mobile practice, so I travel to you!
    • Your initial evaluation will be between 60-75 minutes long.
    • It will include: a review of your medical history and current impairments, mobility, flexibility, and functional strength assessment.
    • If you're coming for pelvic floor therapy, an internal exam may be performed only if you are comfortable, have consented, and if Dr. Chelsea feels it is necessary to perform at first session.
    • Hands-on therapy for pain relief will be performed and initial exercises will be given. Please wear clothes you are able to move in.
